Hello Everyone,
I thought I would show you today how I created my card using the Cheerful Daisies bundle from Stampin’ Up!.
I can’t believe we are half way through August already. July, August and September are busy months for me for sending cards to friends who are celebrating anniversaries, birthdays, congratulations and this year we seem to have a lot of new born baby cards to make, so I thought I would share a card I have made for a friend for her birthday
How I made my card using the Cheerful Daisies bundle
I started with a sheet of A4 Daffodil Delight card, which I put in the trimmer short side and scored at 10.50cms. Then I flipped it around and cut it at 14.85 cms. Scoring it first means I have two card bases ready to use, this is helpful when I am making a bunch of cards at once.
Next I cut a white mat 10cms x 14.40 cms. Using my Stampin’ Up! Cut and Emboss machine I embossed it with the So Swirly embossing folder from Stampin’ Up! I found after I had embossed it I needed to trim it slightly again as the card distorts slightly when it’s embossed. I stuck this to the card base using Tombow liquid glue. I used my Cut and Emboss machine again to cut out the three daisies which are joined together. I cut two of these, one of my die cuts I split the daisies so that I could put on top of the first die cut but turned a little so it looked like there were more petals. Once I was happy I glued the separate daisies on to the die cut that had the daisies still joined together and then with a dauber using Daffodil Delight ink I made the centres yellow. Before I added this to my card I wanted to create a background for more definition so I cut a piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock and cut this at 7cm x 9cms, then cut a piece of patterned paper 6.50cms x 8.50cms stuck this on top of the Daffodil Delight then using dimensionals (foam dots) I added my daisies. To finish I stamped my sentiment on a scrap of card and add this half over the bottom flower.

Card making workshops
Currently I am running two in person card making workshops a month. We have so much fun and it’s a joy to see friendships of class attendees blossoming. If you would like to come and join us please send me a message
Watch this space because very soon I will be starting another class I am just finalising the final details.
New Mini Catalogue
The new mini catalogues will be in the house soon. There is some gorgeous stuff in it. If you would like one please let me know and Herbie and I will pop one into the post on our walk.
Tutorial Bundle
I am part of the Tech4stampers Academy and every month we have a theme to write a tutorial for. There are 9 of us in our bundle group and all our tutorials are collated together to make a bundle. This is a great way to get nine ideas on a particular theme. I will send everyone who orders anything from me a copy of the tutorial bundle. August theme was flowers.
Well that’s it from us today. Herbie is waiting patiently as it’s a gorgeous day and we are off out exploring and he is secretly hoping that there might be a stop somewhere nice for him to have his favourite treat a sausage or two. So I will say good bye now. If you do make today’s card we would love to see a photo so please do send us one.
Until next time stay safe and happy crafting.
Fiona and Herbie
