How to make two Quick fun fold Birthday cards.

Hello Everyone, Today I wanted to show you how to make two quick fun fold birthday cards. Can you believe it, two weeks has gone by already since my last blog post. February flew by and March was suddenly here and I realised I needed some birthday cards. I chose to use one of my favourite packs called Full Of Life. I love it as it's bright, bold and...

How to create a batch of 4 simple Thank You cards

It’s a cold and wet day today so I’ve just made a batch of Thank You cards using a simple layout that allowed me to make four cards at once. Before I share how I created them, I wanted to share what Herbie and I have been up to recently. We’ve been enjoying lots of lovely walks in between the rain showers, looking for signs of spring as the trees begin to get leaves and bulbs pop up in gardens. Both Herbie and I hate getting wet— it wreaks havoc with my Fibromyalgia, and Herbie has an instant...

How to make a Rainbow Themed Greeting Card

Hello Everyone, It feels like ages since I last sat down to write a blog post. January and February have been crazy busy months here at Dorrie's Designs. The weather has been so wet and cold. I have to admit, I’m not a fan of the long, gloomy winter days filled with wind and rain. I can’t wait for warmer weather so Herbie and I can head out for walks and adventures without ending up cold and soggy. Speaking of Herbie, he’s learnt a new trick—though I’m not sure he’s quite mastered the art of...

How to add ink to a new Stampin Up! white ink pad.

Hello Everyone, My new uninked white ink pad has just arrived from Stampin' Up! , so I thought I would pop on really quickly and show you how to ink it up ready to use. It comes uninked but does come with a white ink refill. First of all you need to have a clear space. I would suggest having some protective covering on your workspace as it can get mucky. Open up the ink pad and with the refill squeeze gently all over the pad. Then with something like a bone folder smear the ink all over the...
