Making a One Sheet Wonder using Artistically Inked stamp set to make 4 cards
Hello Everyone,
Here in the UK we have just had Mother’s Day on Sunday. I knew I wanted to use one of my favourite flower stamp sets called Artistically Inked and my favourite colours Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather and Lemon Lime Twist. I also used Daffodil Delight, Fresh Freesia and Bubble Bath. Purple is my favourite colour so I knew I wanted to make sure I used all the different shades of Stampin’ Up! purples in my design.
A One Sheet Wonder is where using a sheet of A4 card and stamping randomly all over it you then cut it up to make 4 cards. This is a great way to make lots of cards quickly. To make mine I started stamping in Gorgeous Grape using the biggest flower. I stamped a cross shape down the centre and across the middle . Then I stamped using Daffodil Delight the flower centres. Then I realised my cross wasn’t dead centre and as I wanted the flowers to be roughly showing half a flower on each card when it was cut up I wasn’t happy. What I love about card making is even if something isn’t how you think it should be there’s always a solution. I had a brain wave. I cut straight down the middle of the flowers and straight across the middle making four randomly sized cards which I was then able to cut so they were 9.50 cms by 13.9 cms by losing some of the white area. Now I had the right size for cards I randomly stamped all over. Once I was happy I cut the card bases by cutting a sheet of A4 card at 14.85 cms and I scored this at 10.50cms. I made my mat layer 10cms x 14.40 cms and stuck them all together and tada I have 4 cards ready to put sentiments on and send out to make someone smile.
I hope you enjoyed reading my post. If you make a One Sheet Wonder please share I would love to see what you create.
Until next time stay safe and happy crafting
