Thank you for popping by and coming to see my blog. Today is a special day as one of my dreams has finally come true, I have finally have got to a stage in building my website where I can go live and have gone live today. I am chuffed to bits to have got this far, it’s still a work in progress so please do pop back soon.

I thought I’d start by telling you a little about me. I’m Fiona and I live on my own with Herbie in a small fishing town in the South West of England called Brixham which is in the county of Devon, England in the UK. Brixham is famous for lots of things including where Henry Francis Lyte lived and wrote the lyrics to the hymn Abide With Me. It is also where William of Orange landed in 1688. It’s a beautiful town with some lovely beaches which Herbie loves to run on and beautiful walks. Here is a photo of a gorgeous sunset on one of our walks.

Herbie

Herbie is 3 years old and my shadow and follows me everywhere. Here he is feeling rather pleased with himself as he is sat on the trowel which I had spent 5 minutes looking for before I realised he was hiding it. Apparently he wanted Mummy to play hide and seek.

He loves going to the beach or to the park with his balls. He’s so fast and one of his favourite games is if there are other dogs in the park, especially if they have a ball, is taking it so they chase him. It’s like watching the Gingerbread Man with him running as fast as he can being chased by lots of his friends ending with them all piling on top of him in a heap.

During the day whilst I am working he comes out to the shed with me, he has his special place on my desk with his furry blanket in his bed so he can either look out the window just in case something should come into his garden or snuggle down and have a snooze. I have nicknamed him the Office Manager as time keeping is his speciality, he can be fast asleep but somehow and I still don’t know how he does it I can guarantee at 10.30 am and 4pm, time for me to run in and make a coffee or tea he will be wide awake having run in to beat me to the fridge where he will be sat patiently waiting to see if any treats are available. His favourites being sausages, chicken or ham.

Team challenge using Hello Ladybug meets Biggest Wish stamp set

I belong to an amazing team with other demonstrators from all around the UK. We have so much fun and even though I live the other end of the country from most of my team we meet regularly via Zoom so it feels like I see them often. Our team leaders Cary and Gill are amazing and always thinking up and setting us team challenges and fun things for us to do. Recently we had a bingo challenge where we had 25 challenges in a bingo grid . I made this card to complete the square on my grid make a card with a window.

To make this card I started with a piece of Basic White A4 card. I put it in the trimmer portrait cut it at 10.50cm. I then scored it at 14.85cms. Next I used a 2.25 die from the Layering Circles dies, used my Stamp and Emboss machine to cut a circle on the right of the card. On the left I stamped the Happy in Pear Pizzazz ink using the Biggest Wishes stamp set and the Birthday in Poppy Parade ink. The I cut a piece of Pear Pizzazz card stock 10.50 cms x 14.85 cms and carefully lined this up so I could work out where to cut the 2cm hole using a smaller Layering Circle die. Once I had cut the hole I stuck the card stock to the inside of the front Basic White card so you could see the Pear Pizzazz border around the inside of the Basic White card, I then stamped leaves on the Pear Pizzazz inside to decorate this. Then stamped the Ladybug peeking through the hole.

Hope you have enjoyed reading my first Blog post and if you make the card have fun making it. I would love to see what you create.

Have a great day,

Fiona
