Hi everyone!
Today I’m excited to share how I created four no stamping Christmas cards — all without using a single stamp! Just cardstock, patterned paper, and sentiments from one of the Stampin’ Up! Ephemera packs were all I needed.
With Christmas fast approaching, I’ve made it my mission not to leave my Christmas card making until the last minute this year. I’ve been crafting steadily each month, and I’ve found that making batches of no-stamping cards is such a time-saver. They come together so quickly and still look beautifully finished!
To start, I chose my patterned paper — I’m absolutely loving the Traditions of Christmas collection from Stampin’ Up! The designs are stunning and versatile enough for other occasions too, like birthdays, thank yous, or just-because cards. One of my favourite features? On the back of each pack of patterned paper is a colour guide, which makes coordinating your cardstock easy.
Once I picked my paper, I trimmed it to size: first cutting 15 cm from the top (making sure the pattern was facing the right way), then slicing one of the strips at 10 cm along the long edge. That gave me three perfect rectangles measuring 10 cm x 15 cm — ready to layer onto my card bases. I did the same with the other piece.
My first two No Stamping Christmas cards

How I made my first 2 No Stamping Christmas cards
I began with a sheet of Real Red cardstock, scoring it at 14.85 cm along the long edge. After scoring, I cut it at 10.5 cm along the short edge. I always prefer to score before cutting — that way, you end up with two perfectly pre-scored card bases, ready to go. It’s such a time-saver, especially when you’re creating cards in batches!
Next I cut a layer using Secret Sea cardstock and glued this on to my card base.
I trimmed down the patterned paper layer to the right size so that it would leave a border all around my Secret Sea Layer and glued this on top. I chose my sentiment and peeled off the backing and added it on top of the patterned paper layer.
All I had left to do was to cut a Basic White layer for the inside and glue it in and my first card was finished.
My second two no stamping Christmas cards

How I made my second 2 no stamping Christmas cards
I started with a sheet of Real Red cardstock and scored it at 10.5 cm along the short edge. Then I placed it in my trimmer and cut it at 14.85 cm along the long edge. This gave me two perfectly sized card bases — a great way to prep for batch-making!
Next, I added a layer of Secret Sea cardstock to the front of my card base. For this design, I wanted to switch things up a bit. Instead of placing the patterned paper directly on top, I trimmed it slightly shorter and cut it into strips — starting with wider ones on the left and gradually narrowing them toward the right. Funny enough, this idea came from a miscut piece of paper, but I loved the look so much I kept going with it. A happy accident turned into a creative twist!
To finish, I added a sentiment from my Ephemera pack and adhered a Basic White mat layer inside the card.
I now had 4 no stamping Christmas cards all ready to send out nearer to Christmas.
My finished no stamping Christmas cards

I’ve now finished my set of four no stamping Christmas cards, and they’re safely tucked away in my card box — all ready to be posted closer to Christmas. It feels so good to be ahead of the game this year!
Well, I think that’s all our news for now! I hope I have inspired you to make some quick and easy no stamping Christmas cards, I would absolutely love to see your creations, please share a photo.
Until next time, stay safe and happy crafting!.
