Hello Everyone,
So today I wanted to show you a quick and easy way to make a stack of cards for any occasion using patterned paper as the main focal image. I love using patterned paper especially from Stampin’ Up! as everything coordinates and with few products you can make a stack of cards that I think look simple but stunning and if received in the post I am sure would make anyone smile. Out of one sheet of 12 x 12 patterned paper I made 6 cards that I now have ready to send out to friends for birthdays, a thank you or just to say hello I am thinking of you. Now I have made them I just need to remember to send them out.
How to assemble my quick and easy card
Here are the instructions to make this card. First I chose a sheet of 12 x 12 patterned paper from Masterfully Made designer series paper (patterned paper). This is beautiful sadly it’s retiring so if you would like some I would be quick. I cut it at 9.50 cms, 19 cms and 28.50 cms vertically. Then I cut each strip at 13.9 cms and then turned it up the other way so I could cut it at 13.9 cms again, so I had lots of the grass and flowers and not so much sky. Top Tip, when cutting your patterned paper remember to ensure if it’s got a directional pattern on you cut it the correct way so when it is stuck on your card it’s the right way up. Once I had cut all my patterned paper I then set about cutting the layers (mats). I decided I wanted the patterned paper to be mounted on different coloured card stock that coordinated with the patterned paper. You can find out what colours coordinate with the patterned paper as Stampin’ Up write a list on the back. I chose Lemon Lime Twist, Pretty Peacock and Fresh Freesia. I cut the mats 10cms x 14.40 cms I mounted the patterned paper I had cut on this and then mounted these on a card base measuring 10.50 cms 14.85 cms. Next I stamped my sentiment on Basic White and cut a thin mat to layer the Basic White on and stuck this on using dimensionals. Finally I cut a layer10 cms x 14.4 cms for the inside of the card out of Basic White. Now all I need to do is write my message on the inside, pop in an envelope, put a stamp on and remember to post.

Herbie’s News
Now I am working part-time at my day job and the warmer weather is coming, Herbie and I are having lots of fun taking Mum out on adventures. His favourite currently is to go to the beach will his ball and play catch, followed by digging a hole in the sand to roll in. Yesterday he was playing with some doggy friends he met on the beach and chased them with their ball into the sea, Herbie got as far as getting his paws wet and decided it was far to cold so as quick as a flash ran back to Granny and me before running on ahead to the beach cafe to sit patiently waiting for us to catch up for his prize sausage.
That’s it from us today. Herbie is waiting patiently as it’s a gorgeous day and we should be out exploring so I will say good bye now. If you do make today’s card we would love to see a photo so please do send us one.
Until next time stay safe and happy crafting.
