Hello Everyone,

So today I wanted to show you a quick and easy way to make a simple card using the Under the Moon stamp set. This is a gorgeous stamp set with so many possibilities for any occasion. I was inspired to create this card by a beautiful sunset Herbie and I saw whilst having our evening walk.

My inspiration for todays card

Herbie and I are fortunate to live in a beautiful part of the UK near the sea, in a small fishing town called Brixham. We have lots of lovely walks with parks, woods, beaches and the sea near by. One of our favourites is around the harbour and out and along to the Breakwater, Sometimes if we are lucky we see seals and dolphins in the sea as we walk along. Herbie loves playing with the other dogs we meet on route. I took this photo a couple of nights ago and was inspired to create todays cards from it

To create todays card

I started with a sheet of A4 card which I cut at 14.9 cms and scored it at 10.50 cms. Next on the front flap I cut it at 6cms. Next I chose a piece of patterned paper, I chose a sheet out of the new patterned paper pack from Stampin’ Up! called Thoughtful Journey, but you could use any patterned paper. I cut this at 14.40 cms x 5.50 cms and stuck this on to the small flap. Next I chose a piece of contrasting card and cut this at 12.50 cms x 9cms. Finally I cut my white layer at 12 x 8.50 cms. Now it was time to stamp my images and to finish off my card I cut a white layer 14.40 x 10cms for the inside.

For my cards for the dolphin card I used Misty Moonlight for the card base and Balmy Blue for my layer with Blackberry Bliss ink for the moon, the dolphins were stamped in Misty Moonlight and the sea was stamped in Balmy Blue. For the boat card the differences were I chose Blackberry Bliss cardstock for the card base and stamped the sun using Daffodil Delight ink.
