Hello Everyone,

Today I wanted to show you how to make two quick fun fold birthday cards.

Can you believe it, two weeks has gone by already since my last blog post. February flew by and March was suddenly here and I realised I needed some birthday cards. I thought I’d share how I made two quick fun fold birthday cards using patterned paper or Designers Series Paper as it’s known from Stampin’ Up!. I chose to use one of my favourite packs called Full Of Life. I love it as it’s bright, bold and can be used for all sorts of occasions.

How I made my first quick fun fold Birthday card

I started with a piece of A4 Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and cut this at 14.9 cms along the long edge.

Then I scored it at 4 cms and flipped it over and scored the other end at 6.5cms.

Next I cut some Shaded Spruce card stock at 14.4 cms x 6 cms and 14.4 cms x 3.5 cms. I glued these on to the Lemon Lime Twist card base.

I cut 3.5 cms of the left and right edge of my patterned paper and .5 of a cms off the top and bottom. I cut this at 2cms and glued this on the smaller flap. The piece that was left I trimmed by .5 of a cm and glued this on the larger flap.

I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock 10 cms x 14.40 and glued this inside my card.

I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the With You In Mind Stamp set on a scrap of Basic White cardstock using Pretty Peacock ink. Then I mounted it on a scrap of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock. Stuck this to my card and it was finished.

How I made my second quick fun fold birthday card

I started with a piece of Real Red cardstock and cut this along the long edge at 14.9 cms. I then scored this at 10.5 cms and 12.50 cms.

Next I chose my patterned paper and making sure the pattern was going the right way I cut it at 14.40 along the top edge.

I cut one piece at 1.50 cms and another at 8cms. I chose to flip one piece so you could see the reverse side of the patterned paper and glued these one to my card.

I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock 10 cms x 14.4 and glued this into the inside.

I have now written in the cards and when it stops raining Herbie and I will pop them in the post box on our walk later.

Well I think that is all our news for now. If you do make these fun fold birthday cards, please do share a photo we would love to see.

Until next time stay safe and happy crafting.
