Welcome to this months Tech4Stampers Academy Blog Hop.
This months theme is: cards with no images just words
Hello Everyone,
I am taking part in this months tech4stampers blog hop. The theme this month is to create a card without using images just words. Anyone who knows me knows I love bright colours and love rainbows. So I thought somehow I would create a card that was both bright and used lots of colours like a rainbow. I wanted it to be a quick and easy simple card that could be used for lots of different occasions. I also decided I would also use this as an opportunity to use up some of my scrap bits of card.
How I created my card with no images just words.
I started by collecting together some scraps of card in different colours. I then cut stripes that were 1.50 cm and 1 cm wide. I wasn’t worried about the lengths as I needed lots of different lengths for the idea I had. Next I chose my card base. When I was creating this card in the UK we were going through a period where it rained every day so I chose Daffodil Delight as my base colour, thinking of sunshine. For my mat layer I chose a colour that’s a new colour just need released in May called Basic Beige, thinking of Herbie and his love for rolling in the sand at the beach. To make my card base using a sheet of Daffodil Delight A4 card I put it in the trimmer portrait (short side) cut at 10.50 cms . I scored this at 14.85 cms. Next I cut Basic Beige mat layer of 10.00 cms x 14.40 cms and stuck this on to the card base. Now it was time to build my rainbow. I have lots of scraps so sorting them out into colours. I cut them at different lengths and lay them on my card. Once I as happy with the layout I stuck them onto my card using Tombow glue. Next using the Alphabet A La Mode Dies I cut the letters for hello in basic black and stuck these on. Finally I flicked sparkle on it using my wink of stella.
I loved how my card turned out and being bright and cheerful it made me smile on such a wet day. Hopefully, by the time you get to read this post we will have sunshine. I hope I inspire you to sit and create something using scraps to create a card without using images. I would lone to see what you create so please do share.
Well that’s it from me today. Herbie is now waiting for this walk in between the rain showers,
Until next time stay safe and happy crafting
