Hello Everyone,
Whoopsie Friday
It’s been a long while since I have written a blog post, so much has happened some good, some bad but the past has gone and I am excited for what the next chapter for Dorrie’s Designs holds.
Recently I have been having a sort out in my Craft Room, I don’t know about you but I manage to have loads of patterned paper or Designer Series Paper as it’s known as at Stampin’ Up!. I found an old sheet and then challenged myself to create a card using it. I was having so much fun, enjoying being back in my craft space listening to my music and singing along, finished the card and went to admire my completed project and Whoopsie I had stuck the front panel on upside down. Have you ever done that?

How I corrected my Whoopsie Friday card
To start with I opened my card out flat and with my trimmer I cut off the back of the card.
Next I got a piece of A4 contrasting card. I scored this at 10.5 cms along the short edge and then turned it to the long edge and cut at 14.85cms. This gives me two card bases so I have one already for another project.
Next I scored it at 5.25 cms and folded this back over on itself so if you hold it up it looks like a backwards Z.
I used my bone folder to burnish all my scorelines.
Now I just needed to glue the first layer of the backward Z onto my card mat layer. Making sure this time it was the correct way up.
Cut a White Mat layer 10cms x 14.4 and added my sentiment and glued this on to the inside.
Now my Whoopsie Friday card was complete and ready to go out in the post.
If you’ve been sitting on a stash of pretty papers and aren’t sure where to start, why not put on some music and allow your creativity to flow.
If you have any other ways to cover up a Whoopise mistake I would love to hear them.

I’ve now written in my Whoopsie Friday card, and later today, Herbie and I will pop it into the post box during our walk.
Well, I think that’s all our news for now! If you make a card like this weeks Whoopsie Friday design, I would absolutely love to see your creations, please share a photo.

I love how you turned a mistake into a fun fold card rather than put it in the bin.
The person who receives it will certainly enjoy it.
Thank you. I like to try to save every card I make from the bin.
clever! I would not have thought of this solution.
Thank you. I love finding ways to save a card.
